The system with the insert and magnet frame pulled out.
The dewar portion of the system.
This photo shows the lambda fridge, the lambda plate, and the IVC in the middle. The insert is a standard Oxfort Variable Temperature Insert, designed for operation between 1.2 and 300K.
A closeup of the IVC. The helium pickup tube appears to have been accidentally bent, probably at some point when someone was putting the insert back in.
A view from the top, showing the connetors and valves. The vacuum port near the connectors is for pumping the IVC.
Two vacuum ports on the other side. From left to right, they are used to pump the main bath, the lambda fridge, and the sample space.
Another closeup of the IVC.
A full view of the insert and magnet frame.
