To set up forwarding on electron, first log into the online mail
setup pages, and click on the Change Forwarding button.
The screen you will see will have a text entry box that will show
you the contents of you .forward file. If you don't have a .forward
file yet, it will say: "denied No such file or directory" in the
box. Don't worry about this: just fill in the settings you want, and
the mail setup program will create one for you.
To set up forwarding of your email, you enter a comma separated
list of the addresses you want to forward to in the text entry box. If
you also want to keep a copy of the email on Electron, you should
include your email address on Electron in this list as well. For
example:
me@electron.mit.edu, you@someother.server.com, mrbush@whitehouse.com
would forward all of my mail to my accounts on someother.server.com and
whitehouse.com and leave me a copy on electron.mit.edu.
For more details on using .forward files, see this website I found:
